After studying Three-Dimensional Design Silversmithing at Horsey College of Art, London 1969 to 1973 I worked in both London and Norfolk making larger scale items, mainly in silver and other mixed materials.
During my master’s studies in Birmingham in 2015, I discovered the excitement of incorporating vitreous enamels into my work and using them much in the way that some potters have used glaze in both a free and serendipitous manner. Results from an orange hot kiln can be both daunting and exhilarating at the same time.

The Opal Place
Tom is a gem cutter, focusing on opal and cabochon making. He began his career as an Exploration Geologist, travelling throughout Europe and Africa seeking the discovery of rich mineral deposits. For Tom, the same essence of exploration and discovery is encapsulated in transforming rough opal into beautiful gems.
The discovery of opal deposits outside of Australia has seen a boom in the popularity and affordability, Tom focuses on affordable stones that display the exotic and enchanting nature of opal.
SAM HEMMING

Inspired by the nature, shape and vibrancy of the beads and natural stone cabochons Sam hand weaves and sews earrings, chokers, necklaces and brooches. Colour interaction fascinates and is a strong contributing factor to her designs. Sam endeavours to make high quality adornment which reflects the time and effort put into the fine details, drawing from her extensive collection of Japanese and Czech glass seed beads, Freshwater pearls, gemstones and vintage buttons and ephemera. Her work has a vintage and tactile quality and has been sold throughout the UK and as far afield as Japan.
Ultimately she loves seeing her pieces on others. A new customer making an emotional connection with a piece of her work is something she takes great pleasure in.
ROZIE KEOGH

My jewellery draws inspiration from historical costume and ceremonial church artefacts. Many of my elaborate pieces contain a narrative, sometimes taken from fairy stories, sometimes from popular culture. The jewellery is designed to be flattering and glamorous.
Most of the work is made in silver and knitted fine silver wire with precious and semi-precious gemstone beads and pearls. However it is possible to find anything from a piece of butterfly wing to doll’s house cutlery in some of the items.
Rozie studied Illustration at Harrow School of Art. In 1990 she returned to college at Hereford College of Art and Design for Design Crats HND. She is a member of Alloy, Hereford Jewellers Group.
Rozie produces wire sculptures and a constantly evolving range of jewellery. She has also worked on several site-specific projects. Rozie has worked in educational establishments as a visiting artist, leading workshops.
Along with her own practice, she has also worked collaboratively creating costumes for dancers and carnival characters.
Although she now works three-dimensionally, she continues to illustrate life and stories with her work.

The city skyline evokes an emotional response for the people who live within. I’ve been inspired by views of city skylines, with a focus on the detail of their architecture.
My work is centred around men’s jewellery with past work being tie clips and cufflinks.

Georgina is a jeweller who experiments with all the different techniques found within the art of enamelling. Throughout her journey she photographs anything from her countryside surrounds that is eye-catching and bold which she draws out an array of colours for her pallets. She explores two contrasting styles, being inspired by architecture, and combining the free-flowing forms found within the sky or nature. Playing around with balance and placement she achieves this by using the technique of riveting, silver and vitreous enamel. She creates a series of mix and match pin badges that allows viewers and customers to explore their curiosity and favoured colours/forms to layer up each piece creating depth and playfulness using a set of silver pin heads. Georgina encourages wearer engagement and exploration within her work.

Much of my work is inspired by natural organic shapes but more recently I have been exploring mid-century design, folk art and Scandinavian design.
I trained at the Birmingham School of Jewellery which is where I first became interested in using non precious metal. This and my love of colour has led me to work with anodised aluminium which I hand dye, print and dip-dye to achieve a variety of designs which are wearable and contemporary. Much of my work is inspired by natural organic shapes but more recently I have been exploring mid-century design, folk art and Scandinavian design and these influences have been coming through in my jewellery in the form of quirky geometric shapes with clean simple lines resulting in wearable contemporary jewellery.

I capture fragments of textile collage in miniature frames to create handcrafted art jewellery. The magic of the Cornish landscape with its undulating sea weeds and rolling mackerel skies is reflected through a moody colour palette and layers of intricate fabric and stitch. Through contrasting materials, I create a dreamlike collection that evokes a sense of oneness with this place for the wearer.
